Concrete work around Florence breaks down into five kinds of jobs, and each one has its own page here. Some jobs overlap: a new garage often needs a slab and a driveway, and a cracked patio might be a repair or a full tear-out. The short notes below say which page covers what, so you can read the one that fits and skip the rest.

Concrete Driveways

Concrete Driveways

Every drive is poured on a compacted base built for Pee Dee sand.

Patios and Stamped Concrete

Patios and Stamped Concrete

We slope every patio away from the house and seal it against pine sap and summer sun.

Slabs, Foundations and Garage Floors

Slabs, Foundations and Garage Floors

Every slab is compacted, vapor-barriered and poured early to beat the heat.

Concrete Repair and Replacement

Concrete Repair and Replacement

We find out why it broke before we fix it.

Commercial Concrete

Commercial Concrete

Built for truck loads and scheduled around your business hours.

What each page covers

Driveways: new pours, replacing an old narrow ranch-house drive, widening, and the apron where the drive meets the street. Patios: plain broom finish, stamped patterns, color and exposed aggregate, plus the slope that keeps rain off the house. Slabs: shed and shop pads, garage floors, house footings and foundation slabs, and what each one has to carry. Repair: cracked, sunken or root-lifted walks and panels, steps, sidewalks, and tearing out and hauling off concrete that can't be saved. Commercial: parking pads, dumpster pads, sidewalks and floors for businesses, churches and farms, scheduled around the hours you are open.

Not sure which one you need?

Start with what is wrong or what you want built, not the name of the service. If the concrete is there and failing, the repair page explains how we decide between patching and replacing a section. If nothing is there yet, the size and the load decide it: anything a car or truck drives on is a driveway or slab job, and anything you walk or sit on is usually a patio or walkway. Around here most failures trace back to water and a soft sandy base rather than cold weather, since the Pee Dee only sees a handful of frosty nights a year, so a lot of what looks like a surface problem turns out to be a base problem. That is one reason we look before we price. Every job is priced after we have measured it on site and looked at the base, with the price in writing before any forms go down. If you are outside the city, the town pages cover where we work. We pour across Florence County and the nearby Pee Dee towns, from Darlington and Hartsville to Lake City and Marion.
